Song of the Month: “God Evermore”

Yesterday, Randy and I stood in line for almost three hours, waiting with thousands of other voters to cast our ballots in the Kansas Presidential Caucus.

Today, the Song of the Month for March serves as a comforting reminder that no matter who wins–in the primaries or in November–it is God who is sovereign, unchanging and wholly worthy of adoration.

Indeed, as Aaron Shust puts it, He is “God Evermore.

My husband and I were just talking with our neighbor about the election and how scary things look for our country. Then we encouraged each other that God is always in control no matter what. I love this – “it is God who is sovereign, unchanging and wholly worthy of adoration.” The song here is so encouraging, too. Thank you, Lois. Blessings and hugs to you!

It’s a humbling experience to vote, isn’t it. I can’t help but think of all those countries where their citizens aren’t free to express their preferences without fear of some kind of reprisal.

Thanks for the gentle reminder, Lois. I hope this weekend has been restful and joyful for you …

Linda, it was encouraging to see all those people, quietly waiting in line “just” to vote. They weren’t there to be entertained or catch a glimpse of some celebrity … they were voluntarily giving up a chunk of their Saturday because they care about our country. You’re right … it is humbling to get to be a part of something like that! 🙂
