Song of the Month: “Smoke”

Right after the Song of the Month goes live every four weeks or so, I always wonder. What will it be next month? What combination of lyrics and music will grab my attention enough to make me want to share it here, with you?

Sometimes I have a few months’ worth of songs lined up; other times, I’m fresh out.

The latter was true last time, but not for long. I heard a song on the radio that led me to a new CD, and that CD led me to this: “Smoke” by Plumb.

I know I say this every time, but I really mean it. I love this song. And I hope you like it, too.

Song of the month! I love that! You must have fun picking out just the right tune to touch hearts, Lois.

I love Plumb. Finding her ’round every corner these days. She’s that good. And that anointed.

I hope your weekend’s been a pleasure, Lois, and that you find your cup re-filled as you exhale …

It’s such a simple thing, Linda, but the Song of the Month is one of my favorite parts of my blog! Thanks for the encouragement, and I hope YOU have a wonderful week!

“I love this song” – aren’t you SUPPOSED to say that every month? After all, if you didn’t love it, we wouldn’t have the privilege of listening to it. 🙂

This is a wonderful song, and I’m going to pass it along to my niece. She was on a canoeing trip yesterday with some of her friends, and one of them drowned. She’s devastated, as you can imagine. I think this song came at the perfect time. Thank you for loving it enough to share.
