Song of the Month: “Trust in You”

There’s just so much, isn’t there?

Crushing headlines. Unwelcome change. Personal tragedies. Conflicting stories. Unanswerable questions.

Some days, my mind aches and my words disappear.

Then a song like Lauren Daigle’s “Trust in You” comes on the radio and promptly becomes the cry of my heart.

Again and again and again.

“My mind aches and my words disappear.” I so connect with these feelings, Lois. I really needed to be reminded of this song today. It brings tears to my eyes. I so needed to be reminded to trust in Him even when He doesn’t give answers, move mountains, or open waters. He will always be with us no matter what, and all our unanswered longings are safe with Him. Thank you, my friend. I read this at just the right time. 🙂 I was feeling so anxious this afternoon.

Trudy, I’m glad the song was such an encouragement at just the right moment. Isn’t it wonderful when that happens? (Judging by the songs you include on your blog, I’m pretty sure often music speaks to you like it does to me!) Praying that God replaces your anxiety with the peace that surpasses all understanding this afternoon …

Awesome song. I need to play that over and over, maybe write the lyrics 100 times, until trusting Him becomes my default.

Thanks for the reminder that He knows the future and has my needs covered.
